Cocky Smart PTY LTD is a small company run by its founder and director, John Chamberlain, who is supported by a small administrative team.
John is a visionary, inventor, innovator and dynamic entrepreneur who is the inventor of the Cocky Smart intellectual property portfolio and responsible for its management. John is also the driving force behind the company’s research programs to advance the product lines to early stage commercialization.
Cocky Smart Pty Ltd is a biotechnology company who owns a series of patented formulas and technology platforms for compounds derived from the preen gland of the sulphur crested cockatoo (Cacatua galerita), which unlike other animals, is not plagued by parasites or disease and can live for a hundred years. These unique biologically active compounds, whose efficacy has been refined over millions of years of evolution, have multiple applications including insecticidal, antimicrobial, wound healing and anti-cancer properties.
Cancer Treatment Research
Cocky Smart Pty Ltd has developed a formula that has been tested by two prominent universities in vitro against melanoma, breast, kidney, and brain cancer cell lines and it reduces the number of cells by 90% in 3 days with minimal effect on healthy cells. Animal models have begun at UWA with encouraging results.
Preliminary research suggested that the synthetic extract formulation strongly inhibited melanoma and Breast Cancer cell proliferation. Results from a commercial contract research organization confirms the anti-cancer properties of the synthetic avian extract. Initial in-vitro studies indicate the same anti-cancer efficacy for Melanoma, Breast, Kidney and Brain Cancers. Follow-up studies have commenced at UWA to determine the in-vitro anti-cancer activity of a synthetic mixture of avian extract components.
